Lil' Bob & The Tree

Reagan and I are trying to teach Lil' Bob how to "touch with ONE finger!" He is getting very good about not pulling things off and gently touching things. We also let him "pat pat" the Piper pup and other things like stickers and things. He is enjoying this Christmas with all the lights and music. He also thinks he wants peanut-butter balls and chocolate-covered pretzels! (He doesn't get those yet, but has tasted a few plain m&m's and loves them!)

I look forward to adding more later on after our visit to Austin this Christmas. We will be there for a week and plan to give him his first hair cut and of course he will have his first Christmas morning/day that he will remember. We can't wait!! This is going to be such a fun time.

Pumpkin Day

Do you like this one?
This one is my favorite!

I tasted one! YUCK!

Haha! This is FUN!

This one is my buddy!

Lil' Bob sitting in the pumpkin patch! I LOVE Pumpkins!
RG and Papa with Lil' Bob's personal pumpkin! :)

Robert Graham and Mommy at the farmer's market! Mommy Loooovvvees pumpkins too!

Daddy makes me laugh even when it's SO cold outside! Brrr...

I get so excited and play so hard that sometimes I just CRASH!

Robert Graham, Grammy, Papa, Mommy and Daddy all went to a playground in Fairhope, AL and played very hard on all the swings and slides! We went to visit Auntie Laura in Nashville to see her show this past weekend and went to the Farmer's Market to look at all the pumpkins! We also went on Saturday two days ago to a pumpkin patch for Pumpkin Day and picked out our own pumpkin! Lil' Bob had a BLAST! He touched the pumpkins, smelled them, and gave the big one a kiss!

Lil' Bob's Birthday Party

We had a very good time celebrating my ONE year! I have had many trials and many fun times this first year. I'm looking forward to all the new things I will be able to do! You can see more pictures of the party if you are Mommy's friend on facebook! :)

This giraffe was trying to bite me, so I bit him back! :) July, 2009.
We have had such a good time with this little boy this summer. Reagan begins teaching in a week and today went back for pre-school activities. Robert Graham and I are having a good day, but are looking forward to September when he goes to "school" (Mom's Day Out) at our new church. He will be able to play and make friends and Mommy will be a better Mommy with some time off. We have not been apart for 11 1/2 months now, so it will take some adjusting, but we think it is best! :)

Beach Baby

Lil' Bob wasn't sure about the sand... he kinda picked it up and went..."oohh... yucky"! The water definitely scared the baby! It was gonna, "get me". Of course, he doesn't use these words yet, but the expressions are definitely communicative! :) We had a good time anyway!!!!

Robert Graham

I can't believe how big my baby is getting! He's around 26 pounds and is starting to crawl backwards. Actually, he scoots rather quickly these days. He says, "Daddy" and "Papa", but not Mommy or Grammy yet! ARgh....!!! He will learn soon enough though and I'm sure I'll wish some days for him to be little again. Let's just say the Pack-N-Play gets used daily when I have to cook dinner or take a shower and Reagan's not home or is busy! I never thought I'd need it that much, but there are a lot of things I never really thought I'd need. I guess you live and learn.

Robert's favorite toys right now are his MegaBlocks, even though he doesn't build anything yet, he likes the way they taste. He likes his penguin... it's like a punching bag, and I'm not sure he really likes IT, but he likes the fact that it drives Piper crazy! He barks and runs and hides from it, and Robert, like his Mommy, loves to torment playfully!

Robert Graham loves to sing songs. Our favorites are "Let's Sing a Song About Jesus" and "This Little Light of Mine". I also started singing "Robert Graham", a song I made up to the tune of the song from Home Alone by John Williams. The theme song is very soothing and melodic, I just have added my own words. He falls to sleep quite easily when rocking, nursing, and when Mommy sings "his" song to him.

I'm enjoying every second with him most days and can't think of anything better to do with my time than to talk, sing, pray, laugh, hug, and kiss him! He is the most wonderful thing in my life besides Christ, Reagan and of course Pipoo is after him, but he is wonderful too.

I wasn't sure he would change favorite colors, but like his hair, his favorite color is red. He likes all kinds of colors, but this one definitely stands out as the best!

He loves sweet potatoes the best, and hates green beans, as we quickly discovered the first time he tried them while Grammy was visiting. He actually "shook" he hated them so much. Like father, like son, I guess. I'll have to have him try Auntie Laura's garlic green beans one day and I'm sure he'll be swayed.

His favorite time of the day is the mornings. He ALWAYS wants to get up earlier than we do! He also loves going on walks with Mommy in the stroller, especially outside. I think this will probably be one of his other first words, "OUTSIDE" because he just loves being out there. I'm sure he won't like it as much when it gets sweltering hot, but for now he will be instantly happy if he goes outside. (Kinda like Piper)! :)

I wanted to jot these things down so that I would have a record of them! He'll be 8 months next week, so I have to get all my facts straight.

Until next post, there are new pictures on Facebook and shutterfly.com!

Where Are They?

Well, after several attempts to load my latest video of RG eating rice cereal for the first time, I'm resigned to give up! I have to wait until my camera is rebooted with more battery life! Argh... I'm waiting for a camera that will last forever and has a battery that never dies! :) Still waiting... waiting... Oh well... I guess I'll have to plug this one in until I find that magic one!

Robert Graham has been sick this week and it makes me truly value our time together. He is so precious to me. I cannot believe how fast time flies when you have a little one. I know in a few days he'll be pulling Piper's tail (on purpose) and running after him. He's starting to sit up for a few seconds on his own before falling over. I really hope that this sickness doesn't cause him any setbacks in his progress, but what can you do?

I'm hanging in there, still coughing and hacking myself, but as long as Lil' Bob feels better, Mommy can't be happier! :)

I love you all and I promise more pictures soon!

Mama's baby is growing too fast! He's so precious... he rolled over for the first time the other night and we were thrilled, until he wouldn't do it again for the camera! Stinker!
